An Ode to the super nice bro :)

A lot can happen over a coffee.. ! Well I would say a lot can happen over a chocolate! Yep! That was my first conversation with him, in fact first argument! Well thanks to our common friend and yahoo and orkut and gtalk! I always found my college pretty boring types and out of the blue pops up this super nice guy! Well I would say he is super nice coz he has a super nice sister, that’s me ;)
24 days younger to me, who still calls me DEDE right from his heart! For the first time I ever felt an emotional touch when I’m called dede and trust me no one else can call me dede the way he does! He has filled the gap of 20 years so perfectly! The most decent awesome guy I ever met! Jeshuuuu.. as I call him..I am sure I’ve made him go crazy every time with my hopeless pathetic amazingly nothing talks.. Poor bro had to listen to em coz I’m his elder sis.. hehe..
What can I say about this nice guy? he's the maddy aka sid of the DCH gang..! One guy who loves to experiment his avatar! And I so remember the way I would wait see him in canteen and comment on it ;) His love for movies made him give a tribute to HEATH LEDGER! Our first face painting session ;) hehe in fact my first face painting, I have no idea what made him risk himself for it! I should say bro sis love :D an ardent rajini fan! I just can’t forget my interpretation I did comparing his pic with the thalapathi pic! I should say perfect! One person whom I can count on no matter how big the problem is or how stupid I messed up! He so knows me in and out that I just can’t defend me when he pulls my leg! And I should say thanks to my stunningly pathetic college for giving us few crazy incidents.

The most cherished incident would be the bus incident..! I don’t wanna talk about this and get caught with the cep of google! I’m sure we would be sued if at all I open my mouth about this in detail here..hehe ;) and the crazy chats online.. if at all you were paid for chatting I guess we would have been the richest :D and yeah one guy who is an epitome of patience, calmness, soft spoken, hardly found in fights or arguments.. yeah the proud owner of still having a coffee mug which is not replaced by beer mug  Man he dies for coffee..!Oops forgot to mention.. he is so tall and i can never reach his head..always i've to stand on a chair or so! and this guy keeps making fun of me for it..!
One guy who taught me wat not to do and how to handle crossroads in life! He is super sweet to hear all my mokkais right from shopping to friends to crushes to anything under the sun! Oops first person whom I actually listen to when someone advises me! One guy who has been with me in all problems and walks of life! I really don’t think there can be any better emotional punch bag I got! We get busy with time and the materialistic world, but he’s one guy who gives me surprises and always loves me forever not matter how stupid and crazy I grow! I really don’t think I can write all about him in one blog! I don’t wanna say a thanks to this super nice amazingly decent brother jeshu.. Love you loads.. yours ever crazy happy go Dede..

Love Unplugged!!

Well, Invariably everyone makes life complicated!Met this crazy guy who is confused 24x7! All he knows is he loves her truly madly deeply and the girl keeps confusing on commitment! I wonder why is there a fear in moving the relationship to next level once you are in a relationship! This is the time your relationship status in FB turns to COMPLICATED.Relationships can be as simple or as complicated as we want them to be. Most of them as couples except too much from one another.

GUYS:The first problem is heights of possessiveness. Whats the big deal if your GF is found talking or hanging out with her guy friends or colleagues? You have females friends whom you hangout with, talk all crap possible. This is so unfair of restricting your GF. This makes you very similar to your parents who always try to draw a line and you apparently break the line just coz it's fun. That's exactly she does!

GIRLS:Heights of expectation! How can you possible expect a guy to be 24x7 with you. There is a world outside to explore with lot more people. Don't nag those poor guys, how much pressure can they handle. They so have to keep up schedules at work,home and even in love? Distance makes heart go fonder. Give them their space of time and they would surely reciprocate the love.

GUYS:Never try to judge her friends circle!

Sometimes you have crazy relationship with friends ~ chaddy buddy, 2 A.M friends, SMS friends, Metro train friends, Movie friends, School friends, Bestest friends and yeah this list keeps going on and on. You can never understand certain things and if you don't understand just leave it than to stick on to it and worry!

GIRLS:It's the same, never judge his friends and try to control him in making or maintaining friends. Friends and him leave them alone. Never expect him to like what you like. You know he's lying then just give him the time to tell the truth and don't fight and keep nagging him on it. Trust him! They check out other girls it means they are admiring natures beauty and it doesn't mean they are going to ask her out right away.

GUYS: They always differentiate their Female Bestest friend and their GF.

GIRLS: Never try to change the guy the way you are. Accept him for the way he is. This goes even for the girls. Initially everything seems cute, nice and cuddly. But at a point of time you realize it's not just you and you feel messed controlled and try to break bonds which you cherished.

GUYS: Learn to be practical in a relationship. It's so stupid to follow all your bollywood styles of impressing.

GIRLS: Now you don't act like those Bollywood actress! Just coz he's super smart or cute or he's your friend and you don't want to hurt him accept his love. Do think practically if you wish to walk with him all through the life! If you really want to talk to him on really really stuffs! If you can put up with him and accepts his flaws! Moving the relationship to the next level takes a lot of thought process. So think and decide.

Relationships are those which are to be enjoyed together. There are no relationships without fights, cuddling and arguments. It's just that we need to give it time and mature as it grows than to fear. At the end of it all we seek is happiness, relaxation and not material things!

DREADFUL FUTURE!
I was burning the midnight oil on my ongoing project at work, and was happened to read few market reports, surveys and cold call campaign reports. Eventually, we happen to do some cold calling with professors in the premier institute of Chennai region! We need to realize that this is seriously going to hamper the growth of India. There are many inspirational stories and movies based on life and college comes out, but do these really hit the students hard? There is lot of backing from government and industries on producing quality students. Is this whole scenario really understood by all? This is really a very skeptical situation on present student. Most of us feel guidance given by placement cell, personality development programs would motivate students to urge their energy into driving force. Most of the colleges give a crash course on personality development in the last semester. Do we realize that one can’t build their personality and become the new or the better him/ her after attending a crash course! Personally, I feel the counseling sessions should start by 8th grade both for parents and students.

We have this common conception that only if you have a professional career you can flourish in life. As kids, all they see is the happy side of professional career and think if at all you don’t become an Engineer or Doctor you can’t be happy. Another scenario put up by movies on college life is that you have fun 24x7 and hardly studies take place!The very idea of becoming a professional person in life is implanted in your mind once you are pregnant. Sometimes it turns out to be peer pride in having two capital letters beside your name! Students who think rationally wouldn't accept this deceptive picture and would know on how to handle things. This is the time wherein we have to drive the student’s passion. People with passion and the energy to drive would definitely be successful but all it needs is timely mentoring. Choosing your career is not like buying the best car with a number of test drives or buying clothes. Career is something you need to earn it, so is professionalism. What’s the point if everyone becomes an engineer or a doctor? It’s not about becoming one; it’s about how good you are at it. Sometimes careers are forced, sometimes unplanned; but in either of these cases you have put your life. There is always an impression that students in premier institutes would have a better exposure. No, this is just an excuse for the student to start the blame game. Students who have the real passion excel in all means. Having met a few professors, the most common remark on students in a premier institute gave was lackadaisical attitude in studies! Having heard such an absurd comment from the most premier college of Chennai it was a dreadful. The students today have assumed that all you need to do to become an engineer is to clear your papers get a first class and with the help of placement cell, you can get into a job which offers you 3.25 CTC. I really wondered what was happening to the students, having produced so many engineers in the country we are still calling ourselves as a developing country. Here comes the issue, we are very productive but the quality of production does matter a lot. There are a number of corporate organizations which help in mentoring the students on how to shape your career based on industrial requirement. Having interacted closely with few International students across the globe, we could find a difference in mind thought when it came to career. As we grow watching all sitcoms and follow new culture, it’s time we also accept their view on career. Most of the students have the zest to earn their profession and not just being one. The college life is the time to shape and price up yourself for the industry. Everyone out here can become an Entrepreneur, you can change the world. I would like to share one of my personally valued quote addressed to students @ Microsoft IMAGINE CUP 2011“Ideas matter, Find passion and Be tenacious ~ Steve Ballmer”. It’s not the college or the course you study makes you a successful person, it’s the passion and drive in you makes you unique. Make yourself Unique to stand out and shine.

Fifiee & Me!

Sometimes you watch few movies and you feel like you are one among them! Well I was watching this English movie since I was bored and wasn’t sleepy. A movie which reminded me of my love! A relationship which lasted close to a year! The most memorable day of my life, 14th April,2009. She was first introduced at my home. Bought her in my small handbag!

My grandma first didn’t find her convincing but as days passed by she apparently feel for her cuteness. She was always smart and naughty which made us love her more. The entire family loved her for the way she was! She just proved to be incorrigible. This kinda of reminded my grandma of having babies at home where you keep all the glassware in the top. That’s exactly we did! She howls, knocks tables over, jumps on everyone, howls, chews up furniture and is a menace. She loves chewing her leash I wonder if it was tastier than pedigree! Well She used to be fed every 3 hours which means she needs to be taken for a walk every now and then for her pee pee poo poo! My friend who gifted me Fifiee was super excited and would sneak out of college just to spend quality time with her.

Well Fifiee was apparently trained by me, so she was naughty witty and smart! She used to chase him down and take the hell out of him until he get her the bone! Her boisterous attitude used to drive us crazy. We loved every bit of her! Her in built alarm for food! She had this crazy habit when it comes to eating. Her vet was like feed her this medicine so that she has a good appetite. Surprisingly she used to hog lot without them! She loves being a mess! I so remember that one day we locked her back home to attend some family function, and I found my entire study room filled with torn papers, broken furniture and my bean bag all torn up! I was just about to yell at her and all I could do is cuddle her up for that lovely affectionate jump,kisses and licks she gave me! Kati pudi vaithiyam! It did work on me! Days passes I saw her grew! But she never stopped her mad maniac jumps. She can never be a well mannered pup! And i love that! She was always jealous of my laptop and would nudge my elbow or stare at me constantly to get me to give her attention while I am sitting at my desk. Her only pass time was to run behind a crazy lizard, bark at the crows in the backyard and make the family go crazy playing silly catching games! Dogs make you feel what life is all about! They are the best companions! Then it was time to bid a bye..! She was back to her new home. Miss all those crazy ball games!

Another year of SINGLEDOM!

Another year of singledom and a year older! 2010-11 is one of the most memorable year of my life! A year which started filled with happiness and fun; I should say it persisted throughout the year! Had a beautiful way to start the year and all I wished last year was a happy fun filled life and I am so glad it was indeed an awesome year! 2011 is the most exciting year! This is the way it goes!
OCTOBER: Had a beautiful surprise B’day bash @ 12 by my sweet grandma and cousins! Had a big Chocolate cake! No wonder I have been gaining weight this year ;) Another surprise B’day bash from my ever loving friends. Credits to Shruthi for putting up all the things with Rohan and Deepthi! And how can I not mention Viks, Arosha, Presin and Neeru for their virtual presence in skype! And the musical note from sharan! My lovely bro Jeshu for his wish! This year I had lot of International friends so got wishes from all over the globe! Credits to IC2010 team! And yeah I became such a foodie! So I call this MONTH of FRIENDS and FOOD!
NOVEMBER: My first job! I was all excited to join my first company, though I was working on project after passing out of coll! First month in Work and had my first trip to Noida, my office HQ! Well nothing great about Noida ~ an industrial sector but I loved it for one reason: I had all the time just for myself all alone! My first trip all alone with no family and no friends! Felt really good to experience things alone and had a fabulous time all just for myself! This is the MONTH JUST FOR JILLU that’s ME!
DECEMBER: I had quite a lot of free time though I was working! After a longtime I took my brushes. And I fell in love with ART all over again! I painted lot.. All my passion for art and learning was in its peak! Art is one thing which keeps me happy forever. Guess I gifted my bestest friend lot of paintings! This is the MONTH of ART!
JANUARY: The first month of the year 2011! I was just a 3 months baby in my work life! All pampered at work and was so falling in love with my work and career. And my New Year gift from Microsoft WP7 baby  So i call this MONTH of CAREER!
FEBRUARY: As people say February is the month of Love (V Day specials)! Yes very true! I was committed! Fell in Love with IMAGINE CUP! Formed the Trio GREEN UNO Team for Digital Media! And yeah my first official conference to Pattaya! So i call this MONTH of LOVE, TRAVEL and FUN!
MARCH: Round 1 of Digital Media! Made a flip book, made a one minute video with Viks and my virtual friend Arosha on Skype helping us out and giving all the moral support! And yeah We did get threw round 1 with maximum votes in sub round 6. This is a MONTH of BEGINNING of IMAGINE CUP and HARD WORK!
APRIL: So fell in Love with the word TRAVEL and FUN! Made the most exciting trips to THAILAND with friends! Thanks to those free tickets ;) A trip least expected! I was living in a dreamland where it was filled with fun, fun and more fun! Did a lot of shopping and lived up to the spirits. Cheers to my lovely friend! This month was dedicated to FUN, TRAVEL and FRIENDS!
MAY:This was the month i fell in love with short filming, editing, painting! All credits to IMAGINE CUP 2011! Arosha, Viks and me worked like madness for round 2 of the Digital media just for one reason NYC. Special thanks to Chandy, Anandh, Hari and grandma for their support. Burnt the midnight oil! Was deprived of sleep..never knew that we could get so serious on things and get so creative! Can’t forget those midnight dinners, chit chats, music and pranks we did while making the video. So i call this MONTH of SLEEPLESS, HARDWORKING, DEDICATION, CREATIVITY and FUN LEARNING!
JUNE: Month of results! All our hard work on making the video was recognized. Yes! We cleared the second round of IMAGINE CUP and were to represent INDIA in Worldwide finals @ NEW YORK CITY!! We could feel the achievement in the air! The whole brand new atmosphere looking forward to meet students all over the world (close to 500 students)! Our second interview was the USA VISA interview! How can I forget the cute smart visa officer Andrew (did a lil drooling) Yes! We got our visas too. (10 year multiple entry tourist visa only for me) woww . Now time to pack things!!!! So i call this as MONTH of ACHIEVEMENT, EXCITEMENT, PLANNING, EXECUTION, PACKING and FUN!
JULY: I was a NEW YORKER! Walked around the streets of NY! Met all my IC 2010 friends! Biggest international reunion! One of an experience to represent INDIA in a foreign land! Met great people! Made lot of friends! The late night walks, shopping, volunteering with City Year, dancing and music. Fun learning experience and our 30 hour challenge! I really don't think July could have got better than this (coz it’s a month with 0 holidays).Time when all the students around the world united to solve the world toughest problems! So fell in love with NEW YORK and MICROSOFT. So i call this month of LEARNING, EXPERIENCE, TRAVEL, LOVE AND FUN FUN and MORE FUN!
AUGUST: All cousins and family under one roof after 8 years is definitely an awesome feel! Time spent just with family, family and more family! Made lotta road trips with family. Did a lot of shopping! Experienced the Asli INCREDIBLE INDIA with the crazy family of mine! So i call this MONTH of FAMILY, LOVE and FUN!
SEPTEMBER: After all the travelling! It was the time to become the Marriage Material! A very exciting month! So i call this a MONTH of HAPPINESS, EXCITEMENT, BEAUTIFUL, GOOD, FUN!
So I really don’t regret that I have grown a year older ;) coz the whole journey was so much fun filled with love and happiness! A year with no regrets! A year older and wiser! Excited to have more fun , happiness and good learning! Thanks a ton for all of you for being a part of my life and made me feel special touch wood!

Guys! It’s my B’day hope god heard all my secret wish list of 2012  so just pray for me :D

SAFE MODE LIFE !

Well after all some witty writings, here I get serious! I’m sure few would wonder what the hell has happen to me! Never minds it’s just for the ones who wanted me to get serious in life! Bingo! CAREER CAREER CAREER! One of the most chanted words! Wondering how many of us are genuinely happy about their career and work life. A very few of them really enjoy it and the ones who enjoy are the ones who are really happy! What I personally believe is you cannot bring out the best in you until you fall in love with it! Money comes Money goes.. Than to think of the big bucks , Think of the happiness you get from personal satisfaction. Many of them have a forced career as kids and then few follow what others do! I really wonder how many of us want to be a TRUE ENGINEER! To become a successful engineer all you have to do is study something and work in a different field! There you go BINGO! Man you study Biotech or chemical or biomed or ECE and then attend all the campus interviews. You make sure you get a job in hand before you pass out. Then you are also one of the successful engineers as parents denoted! And yeah you are the SOFTWARE ENGINEER! Guess being a software engineer is like having a relationship status of being committed! Having taken a survey, we found that many of the software professionals stick on to their work just for their 2 years of work experience (for their MBA) and big bucks! It’s so similar to the way people whine when they are in a relationship. Dude! I just can’t handle my girl! She keeps texting and talking 24x7. She so wants to be with me forever. No my time, no my space! Wonder if at all she had 25 hours and one more day extra in a month she would still be the same. Better stay single dude! A common dialogue from a friend who is in a relationship! Now comparing with work: Hey how’s work going? What’s up these days? Yeah dude going on..! Man I got no time I’m working like madness day and night for this project. It’s really eating my head. All that I have earned along with my big bucks is BP, Tension, Stress, Backache and yea along with some lovely incentives of working on holidays as well and ya not to mention few on site visits! It’s like you have a Ferrari parked in a house surrounded by water. You have a diamond ring which is smaller in size! What’s the point in shedding out your entire life to problems (as I would call the whining as) when you really can’t find time for family, friends, love and nature! I am sure you would miss all those irresponsible fun and ever cherished days of chatting endlessly, roaming with friends till the last drop of petrol is there, 10 friends sharing one cup of coffee/tea. Road trips are always fun and awesome because they are adventurous! Sometimes it’s nicer when you take some adventurous steps in your Life than to have this safe mode function. Do what your passion is all about.

Sometimes we realize things late. Better late than Never. Sometimes we just need to be little gutsy in taking decisions! Nothing wrong, Life is short, Experiment things, Mistakes would happen, Learn from your mistakes, Fall in love with whatever you do! You can find really happiness in YOU! You would surely Love every bit of Life! Get adventurous and get going  there is some much fun in life! Take it light and fun!

P.S: 1. This applies not only to SOFTWARE ENGINEERS! (I mentioned it coz the survey we took was based on final year students and S/W professionals) .
